Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. Lewis County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may process the query under its separate privacy policy and service terms.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or use a contact form, the message and contact details are retained as needed to read and answer your request. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal demand.
Information Collected Automatically
Basic technical details may be recorded when a page loads. This data helps operate the site, measure use, diagnose failures, and identify harmful traffic. It can include:

Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or legal guardian who believes a minor submitted personal information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.

Subject to applicable law and the nature of the information held, you may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information maintained by this site
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate
- Delete personal information when no legal or operational reason requires retention

These choices apply to information controlled by Lewis County Released Inmates. Official jail, court, and TDOC records are held by government custodians. Access to those records is governed separately, including by Tennessee Code § 10-7-503 and applicable confidentiality, retention, and expunction rules.

This Privacy Notice may be revised as site practices, services, or legal duties change. The updated version takes effect when it is posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised notice applies to later activity.
